Nalar Kalam Hadratusy Syaikh Kiai Hasyim Asy’ari

Abstract

This article discusses Kiai Hasyim Asy'ari's kalam reasoning through one of his most important works, the Risalah of Ahl Sunnah Wal Jama'ah. In it, Hadratusy Shaykh (Kiai Hasyim's nickname) is no longer preoccupied with the theme of kalam science in the composition of classical books. This work is current and highlights the roots of the debate over NU's identity as a presentation of Ahl Sunnah Wal Jama'ah. Apart from that, it also tries to remind readers of a theme that is often forgotten, namely the signs of the apocalypse (ammarat al-qiyamah). By trying to uncover the historical aspects behind the text, this article will add clarity to the flow of Hadratus Shaykh's thoughts in kalam science.
